hello fi. audio can u help me choose a sub for my 2005 tiburon hatchback. ill be running one jl audio 1000v2 plus i was thinking about a ported box firing up with 2-10 or 2-12 or mayby 1-15.this is the space i have to work with 14-in (H)X16(D)X34(W)

That's not a lot of space for two woofers ported (3.40893^3ft GROSS). You did not give a budget, so it's gonna be kind of hard to help you.

With the space you have, you might get away with an optimal enclosure for 2 SSD 10's, or a less than optimal enclosure for 2 SSD 12's. Or you can step up to 1 SSD 15".

A pair of 10's in the box dimensions above would work.

Make a slot port on one end of the box that is 14.5 x 2.5. It will go into the box until it is 2.5" from the bottom and then turn and go another 16"

With that box and amp, you could use SSD's or Q's

You could also do a set of Q12's sealed in that box, which would sound really good. . .

my budjet is $450 also will a sealed box sound better in a hatchback?
