i have a q 10" and when i go to crank it up when the sub hits it sounds almost like the sub itself is rattling. It isnt a clean sound. what is wrong?

What size is the enclosure (if ported what is it tuned to) Where is your sub-sonic filter set. How much power are you feeding it.

im not that well aware of the mechanics of everything. i had it installed at an installer. i just kno that they are run off my hk4000d ma audio amp so they arent getting shorted on power

check the dustcap, make sure it's not loose. I'm sure I can post a video of what a loose dustcap sounds like tomorrow when I'm home.

ok thank you. it just doesnt sound good at all. im afraid im gonna break it or something. it just everty time the sub hits the movement on the sub makes it rattle. it sounds almost like feeding it too much and it pops just not to that extent

Pull them out of the box and look at them and see if you notice anything weird like the cone detached. If you can, take a picture of it.

Thanks!

will do. Thanks

Just a little Fyi as well, you need to check the settings on your subsonic filter. I just saw that you had the HK4000d, and that is QUITE a bit of power on the Q's...

I'd be willing to bet that you probably don't have the subsonic filter setup properly and are slamming the cone into the basket...
