I need to downsize my 18 to a 15 or 12. I have 3-3.5 ft box max that I want to build. What is the process to obtain the kit, and how do it install it?

you need a basket and a recone for what ever size you need

1 of 2 ways... send it on in and we can do it. Or we send out a kit for you to do. Both cost the same (except for shipping).

So, can the (slightly better than) average guy do this? Will it leave my 18" assembly re-usable?

It's not that hard to do, but if you want it to be pretty send it in.

The 18" assembly will be useless aside from the basket....
