Posted June 26, 200817 yr I am running a 12 inch SSD sub sealed in a 1 cubic foot box. I was wondering what any of you fill your sealed boxes with? I remember reading about polyfil and stuffing and am just curious on what this does and how it effects the sound.
June 26, 200817 yr polyfil tricks the sub into thinking it's in a larger enclosure then it is... here is a really good thread on ithttp://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...?showtopic=7168
June 27, 200817 yr Admin I usually start with some in anyway, and you can adjust from there based on the sound and response you prefer.
August 4, 200817 yr Author Just received some polyfill and was stuffing it in my sub box which is 1 cubic foot. I got about 6 ounces in there and it seems stuffed. My question is do you really stuff the chit out of the box to fit it all in there? Is that ok? Also for this size enclosure is about 8 ounces the way to go? Edited August 4, 200817 yr by Smondo17
