Posted July 2, 200817 yr so i have a trailblazer. im looking for a 15 0r 18 inch sub that will be mainly used for rap. enclosure size is not much of an issue. my limit is about $500 for the sub. i need more of an spl sub for a daily driver. any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks aheadps. please spell out the brands, i have no idea what the initials stand for. thanks Edited July 2, 200817 yr by chuy
July 2, 200817 yr power??otherwise I say 18" BL or BTL!if you dont have a size issue and you want output, go the 18" route for sure!
July 2, 200817 yr well if $500 is all you want to spend on a sub, and asuming that you arent going to upgrade the electrical much... I'd stick with no more than 1500 rms amp (1500 sundown...hint hint), that leaves you with...ICONHAVOCFI BLFI Qthose would be my first choices...take your pic on size... If you can fit an 18", you probably could fit two 15"s and be a bit louder...
July 2, 200817 yr Is that $500 just for the driver, or is it to include box, wiring, carpet, install, sub, and amplifier? HUGE difference.
July 2, 200817 yr Author im saying $500 for just the sub and i know that in a few months will upgrade the amp. i just want one. or 2 15s but no mre than about $500. ill look that up. thanks

With the correct enclosure, you run about 3000 watts on a pair of them. We have ran 3000 watts to 1 of them for burps, but I do not recommend for daily use. You can pick them up on ebay all day long for about $250.00 a piece.
July 4, 200817 yr look into ssa's new line, it's coming out with an 18. otherwise the ICON would be a fine choice. mach5 spl series of subs.sundown nightshades.combine any of those with sundown power and your a winner!wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
July 8, 200817 yr look into the audioque hdc3. they just came out with 18s. and theyre relatively cheap also so youll have more money to put tward ur elec. and everything else.
