Posted July 3, 200817 yr hi, i am going to be install mli 65 in the rear of my truck and there is a hole for them so there are going to need to be in a small sealed or ported enslcure ( i havent decided) and these are the tweeters i am going to be using. http://www.madisound.com/catalog/product_i...roducts_id=1466 and i am wondering what is the recommend cubic feet for them for midrange ( up to around 3k hz but i would like as much midbass a possable.
July 3, 200817 yr what are you using for crossovers?what do you mean by "rear of the truck"? If you can IB is way, way easier in a vehicle.
July 3, 200817 yr Author alpine 9887 ,by rear of truck i mean in the extended cab part. the g/f's son sits back there and thinks that i am not considering him if i only run front stage ( using the same set up
July 3, 200817 yr Like Sean suggested, Infinite Baffle would be best, but if you want to test a bit, make your enclosure up with a completely open back. Stuff the box loosely with some stuffing and try it. You should achieve some decent mid-bass with that.Best,Mark
July 4, 200817 yr An IB setup would provide you with a more natural sounding mid-bass. Doing in my way may end up with the mid-bass sounding slightly peaky, but not totally uncontrollable. You can/should watch the output down low if using either configuration since the driver will unload below Fs.Best,Mark
