Posted July 14, 200817 yr First off, I bought this amp cause I just wanted to see if it really lived up to the power ratings that I saw on birthsheets and on the rated vs actual power site. I got it used for $90 shipped. (Got a great deal on it) My first impression of this amp when I took it out of the box was, wow its almost as big as my T10001bd, very heavy and solid. I hooked it up to a pair of 10's in my F150. I have had several amps in my truck JL audio, planet audio, Zapco, and a couple other I can remember off hand. Going through my music ranging from hard rock to rap, this amp blew me away. It has close to the SQ of the Zapco (probably cause its an ab class and not d class like the other amps I have had on the subs) and the power output of the Planet audio bb1350.1. It stays cool even in the 115 degree heat here in Nor Cal, and hasn't shut down yet even when pushed hard. The one negative is that like my T10001bd the cover rattles with the bass notes. But thanks to some guys here on the forum, I have gotten some tips on how to fix that. It does draw a bit of power, but that is to be expected for ab class amp putting out close to 900 watts. (according to the rockford website) For an amp that is rated at 50 watts per channel, this is an incredible value. I will re-review this amp in a couple of weeks cause I want to hear how it sounds on my mids and highs. July 14, 200817 yr Admin Nice amp, thanks for the review. x2glad to hear RF still puts out great stuff.I was looking to grab a T4004 as a temporary glorified 3 channel, but decided to go back to ZED and get the 6 channel and go active from the get go. But yes, the "T" line seems to have countless happy owners.
July 23, 200817 yr I just got this amp myself and will be installing it soon. But from the looks of it, and by the numbers, I'm already happy.One quick question though, if anyone knows..Below is the birthsheet and it says "923 Total RMS Watts @ 1 Ohm". That's the power of both channels, left plus right, @ 1 Ohm right? Well, I'd like to know, is that the same power output if I bridge the amp with 2 Ohms?

April 11, 201015 yr I've got a P3002 that I got used for a hundred bucks. Right now I've got it hooked to a pair of Memphis twelves at one ohm on one channel. I know its not stable at one ohm, but it works fine unless you turn the bass knob over 3/4 then it will cut off. When my BTL 18 gets here my new T1500 will be taking over sub duty and I'm going to use the P3002 on some RE XXX 6.5 components. That works out great since the components are 2 ohm, and the link you gave says the P3002 will put out 179 per channel.
