Posted November 27, 200420 yr Okay first off how much does the 12" weigh? It is going into a sportscar so the individual is trying to minimize the weight. Is the SI 12" able to perform well with 600rms? Does anyone know the weight of the OV2, kv2, SX, lethal injection subs? If this is a really heavy sub does anyone know a company that makes light subs that have great sq 1st and get loud? How does this sub compare SQ wise with the ov2 (since it's not out yet lets say the kv2 ED audio), Incriminator audio lethal injection, SX RE audio? We also want to mimize the space taken in the car so we plan on using a small sealed box.

We also want to mimize the space taken in the car so we plan on using a small sealed box.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>the magnum d2 i the greatest SQ sub ive ever heard at least in my opinion. i caNT say about the ov.2 cuas ei never heard it but the amgnum in my opinion out performs he old A series and they said the ov.2 was susposed to be on par with the old a series. its definently bette than the re sx. I feel that its better than the RExxx and the xx is a model above the SX. As for lethal injection arent those stricly spl subs? im not sure but i know magnums get sickly loud. The have the best SQ ive ever heard and they get very loud. 600 watts it nothing for this sub but will defintly get it moving. it got to loud for my taste off A linear power 2.2 hv (600watts rms). and many people run them daily with 1000-1500.hope that helps

December 8, 200420 yr You cannot go wrong with a Magnum no matter what you're comparing it to. Its up there with all the big boys, the W7's, the XXX's, the Diamond TDX's except that it weighs less than them all and is more original. This thing has acult following and when you hear one, you'll sure know why

December 12, 200420 yr I don't think many people have experience with SoundSplinter Subs... I have been to the site but other than that, I'm sure that is the extent of most of our experience with them.

December 13, 200420 yr personally, i'm loving my soundsplinter rl-p 12. while i won't compare it to the d2 (i have yet to hear one), alot of of people compare it to the brahma, which i have yet to hear as well.but my ss rp-l 12 is in 1.25ft^3 sealed with a rated 750wrms going to it from a hifonics nemesis amp. gets real low and loud, even with the amp getting limited input voltage from the factory h/u and the factory h/u restricting bass as the volume goes up.Their speakers look good. They must be good. But seriously, typical TC build. But I suppose the numbers show all.so what's with the sarcasm nick? if it's in fun, i apologize. if it's not, what gives? mike, as far as i know, has never said anything sarcastic about SI.and the t/s numbers never show all, just give a good representation of the story.i would like to see a comparision of the two drivers..the rl-p's vs the d2's with all things being equal. recommended enclosure with the same power in the same vehicle. matter of fact, ur site says a d2 will work fine in 1.25ft^3 sealed. i will even pay the shipping from u to me and back again to u to do a review. i'll listen to everything from country to hip hop..even the blueman group. i'll be fair, if the d2 is a better driver, i'll tell ya. i'll even get it metered..on an ac at the least and if i can arrange it with team sweep, on a new tl. i'll give each sub 5 runs, throwing out the worst two and averaging the best three.what do ya say? i'm game if u are. lemme know. and don't worry about bias. even though i consider the rl-p the best sql driver i have owned, it's just that, the best I HAVE OWNED not necessarly the best out there. i have yet to hear ur driver, the brahma, or anything from re.i know by ur sales u have nothing to prove, but neither does ss, at least IMO. but being one of the few ppl running an ss sub, at least i can compare the two, same box (both companies recommend this size), same power and same vehicle. i'll even meter both subs same day.the challange is there...whatcha say?wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
