July 20, 200817 yr Author Just placed and order for some E8,s to swap in instead of the Tinny Peerless home audio woofers. Hopefully it will do alot beter i was able to hit 138 db at 57 hz with those so these should do beter.
July 20, 200817 yr Interesting car to be adding audio to, but 138 from two 8's is a great score i reckon! And those peerless subs are tough, i saw one guy in Street A throw 6kw to a pair of XXLS 10's in a wicked one for 146+
August 3, 200817 yr Author Got the E8s and put them in a while ago just getting pics up now. They sound way louder im hoping 140 exaclty but im going to try and put the last 6.5 in before i go get it DB testet so it might be awhile.Wrong pics il get them up in a bit Edited August 3, 200817 yr by 944guy
August 5, 200817 yr Author Finaly got the pics for you guys. I added a part under my box so i could bolt it down. just have to cut in one last 6.5.
August 7, 200817 yr how does the hatch handle the bass im turning a 87 944 into a daily driven comp car plan on putting a 15 with 5-7kw in the hach. have you done testing to see what frequencys the car likes and what is the tuning on you box.
August 7, 200817 yr Author I was told that my hatch will blow up by people on 944 forums but iv had a system in there for a few years now and nothing has happend just letting you know put electricle tape on the hatch pins and before you close the hatch spray a little undercoating on the part were the pins go it makes alot of noise otherwise. sorry about my bad spelling. i dont remmember my tuning but its around 32 hz
August 8, 200817 yr Author Got it re tested i did mess with the tuning on the box so last time with the peerless it was 138 at 57hz now with the E8's its 138.6 at 38 hz so a little beter but alot lower.
