Alright guys....

decided im going to try sq (me doing sq is... new :suicide-santa:) I am REALLY wanting to use the ixl 10's in a sealed box (3 10's, actually) Mark recommended .5 cuft sealed each. now, how much power per sub would be needed? is 500 each enough? more/less? Any other suggestions? comments?

I hope 500 is enough since I'm only planning to run about 400. I've not heard that these are especially inefficient so I would think that 500 apiece should be plenty. That's based on experience with running a fairly inefficient sub on 400 and being perfectly happy. Having 3 subs will help you out a lot, too.

500 each should be more than enough, 1500W to subs is probably going to be pushing it for an sq system.

don't get me wrong, you don't need a lesser amp, but you probably won't be able to run the IXLs full tilt and expect the frontstage to keep up

I also would have to say 500 each should be plenty. If you find it lacking, which I highly doubt you will, you can always stuff the box later.
