August 6, 200817 yr Oh man.... You made a bad mistake! Sorry to tell ya but didnt you hear bout the Q18s? They've been gettin people addicted to mind numbing bass more than cigarettes! You makin a build log?
August 6, 200817 yr Author Maybe. It would be my first box so I don't want to embarrass myself . But I have all my measurements ready to go. As soon as I can get my hands on a jigsaw I'm on my way
August 6, 200817 yr correct me if im wrong, but thats pretty big for an 18... and reallllyy low. The lowest id tune that woofer is about 31hz...Id say if your looking for a daily groundpounder do about 7 cubes after displacement and around 35hz, that way you can hit some good high notes and still get low.

August 6, 200817 yr hmmm... never dealt with that before, how do you plan on powering the woofer? Obviously an amp of some kind, but i never understood how to make that work

Obviously an amp of some kind, but i never understood how to make that workIn 2 weeks (when I get my paycheck) I am ordering a QSC GX5. I only plan on running 1 woofer so that amp pushes out a single channel of 850 watts RMS at 4 ohms. As far as I know I won't be using every watt so that amp is more than enough Edited August 6, 200817 yr by chad
