Posted August 6, 200817 yr i have a basic idea but i dont know how deep and which pieces to do...and what size of bits to use..please excuse my question..never built a box but plan to .hopefully before my 16th birthday!!!..but yeah thanks.
August 6, 200817 yr Drill as long as the screw is + a bit more and use a bit the size of the shaft of the screw or a little smaller and if your using MDF whatch out it splits easy.
August 6, 200817 yr use a drill bit slightly smaller than the shaft of the screw and don't just ram the drill intothe MDF...let the bit do the work
August 6, 200817 yr let the bit do the workMeaning take your time and don't force it. You will save yourself from having a pissed off inconvenient problem
August 6, 200817 yr Author oh ok...and what do i use to countersink then ..i only know that u hit em with sumthin...lol
August 6, 200817 yr Author oh..lol..thanks..................and one more thing .....is liquid nail adhesive any good?
August 6, 200817 yr it works well but i usually just go around the joints with some wood glue and let it sit overnight.
August 7, 200817 yr yea and dont do it fast or the bit will break off and get stuck in the box, especially if its hot.so take it kinda slow.
