Posted August 27, 200817 yr So I've noticed my system makes makes a sound like bacon sizzlin' on a pan when I go from 0 to 1 on the volume knob. It's not noticable at normal listening volumes, but I'm sure it's still present in the signal. I was wondering if this should concern me.

That's the simplest explanation, but it could be a number of things in the signal path or maybe in the deck itself.

August 27, 200817 yr Sounds about right. I love the description of the sound.I would say it's the RCA's. Try a new one or just run what you have down your vehicle not touching anything and see if that fixes it.More likely though, did you check if there was bacon on your amp? Forgot to grab it form the last trip to the market? When you crank the volume like that, it could be overheating and causing said bacon to sizzle. You can really tell if this may be the problem by becomming really hungry for breakfast foods, and a wonderfull smell in your vehicle.
