What up guys! I know I have been a pain trying to plan my setup, been doing it forever and a day now, lol. For the longest time I didn't heed many of your warnings, but tonight for some reason all your warnings hit me. I was thinking of jumping from my two little 12" RF P3's to 2 15" BTLs fully loaded. Money, time, patience, and the willingness to upgrade wasn't my issue, it was the BIG jump factor. I don't think I am ready to take such a huge jump from two weaklings to two way above monsters....so instead I'm gonna go with 2 15" BL's. I am greatly appreciative for all the help that you guys have provided me and look forward to picking your brains soon for mids/highs info.

Glad you picked something, but I'm not sure why going from BTLs to BLs changed your mindset so much. It's still two 15s and you're just going from the #1 to the #2 sub in their lineup for SPL. Could have powered both with the same amp, had the same box, everything.

Well, my original setup was going to be 2 15" BTL's ran off of 1 RF4000 at first then adding a second one probably within 6 months....pretty much greatly increasing the amt of work needed....esp considering I am downgrading 5k watts......seems like a monster difference to me.

Haha, your writing as if 2 bl 15's is'nt big man. 2 bl 15's off that sundown will be insanely loud! I was so afraid that my single bl 15 off my sundown saz1500d was'nt going to be loud enough, but when i plugged that stuff up I was disgusted about how loud the damn thing was. If a single bl 15 is causing my vision to blur and putting pressure on my chest I could just imagine what 2 15's could do.

you also kinda gotta look at what it is going into also though....a single 15 fully loaded in a small car will be noticably louder than one in a blow through in a truck.

That is, unless I can get it just perfectly right when doing all my cuts and junk on the truck itself and seal everything up correctly.

For sure man, but compared to your old setup you'll find the 2 bl's insanely loud.
