Posted January 10, 200520 yr I got a 15" in my saab 9000. it sounds unreal. but my problem is, my saab broke down (needs a new head gasket = about $2000) so i got some time before i get a new car/get it fixed and am trying to find a way to either sell my 15 and get a 12 (or 2) or trade someone. If i were to sell it, what do you guys think would be a good price? i got it this summer and have been very nice to it. sounds great, but i like the sound of 12's a little better (the 15 is just a little bit to low for a lot of my stuff.) but for the stuff that is low enough, it sings. def wanna stay with si
January 10, 200520 yr 250 ish as most 12s got for 180-200. Mine was going to be sold like 4 different times to different people for 190ish, but they keep backing out.

January 10, 200520 yr BAh, just keep it. You'll be disappointed when you downgrade, unless you are able to find a pair. As for the asking price, I have seen them all over the map really. I have my 15 up for sale right now, that is practically NIB, it has MAYBE 2 minutes of use on it, and I think people think my price is too high. I like to ask, "what is it worth to YOU?" That should be your price.
January 10, 200520 yr don't be alarmed buy the post count, i'm usually a lurker. :ph34r: but i have some serious interest in a SI 15". i have a 12" right now and i love it but it's not loud enough for me, so i figure what heck get a 15. and now i must sell the 12 and i need a 15. email me at [email protected]. i have refs on ebay, SD, and CA. please let me know.
January 12, 200520 yr Author i am going back and forth, sell or not to sell. i have a Viper 1200.1, would that push 2 12's as loud and clear as my 15 (same amp on both)? on a side note, someone tried to get in an argument with me today saying that wal-mart sells high end receivers that out do Alpine HUs (i am partial to Alpine) then they told me that there is no way a 15" could sound as good as his 2 12 sony xpods. anyone with an attitude like that doesn't even deserve to hear SIs....

On the other side, they obviously haven't heard even a decent sound system...let alone a good one...and even then, a hi-fi system. People need to be shown what's out there or their misconception of what's good will remain constantly skewed.
January 12, 200520 yr Author Depends on the installation.It would be in a sealed, home-made box, in the trunk of some car (looking at Acura TL, Audi a4, and a saab 9-3, car shopping this weekend ) so i won't have infinte room
