Posted October 2, 200817 yr Ok I'm picking between the lanzer opti 2000 or 1400. Based on the specs at a 1ohm load with the 2000 I would be getting around 1600 watts "give or take" running to the sub right? With the 1400 the max is about 1300 but I would expect like 1000 or a little around 1000 like 900 something at 1ohm.Which one would u guys pick between the 2?Just for reminder I have the Fi Q 15 with bp optionMan reason I'm asking is I don't wanna over power my sub. October 2, 200817 yr I'd go for the 1400 mate, seems the right power but your gunna save money! But get someone to back this answer up, as im still a newbie!Bp adds 200-500 watts to your sub, so it can hit 1500 MAX. but running 1400 watts if great i think
October 2, 200817 yr Author thanks for replying pezza. Yea thats what I was thinking but I know I have stock electrical right now. And I don't think the 2000 will be pushing the 1600 rms that they state it produces at 1ohm maybe like 1500 or less. And the 1400 will be about 900watts Edited October 2, 200817 yr by master_jbb3
October 2, 200817 yr Yeh im kinda in the same position!I'm about to either order a 15" Q or AA Havoc! Can't decide yet. Both subs are very similarHavoc does 1250 rmsHave you looked into sundown amps? teh 1500d suites the Q with BP good i hearI'm going to be running stock elecs too i hope
October 2, 200817 yr Author o and pezza I just re-read your post. The 1400opti only produces 1000w rms at 1ohm, and the 2000opti produces like 1600w rms at 1ohm.So basically it's either picking 1000w (1400opti) or 1300w-1500w (2000opti)

Don't have the money for them at the moment. I may consider them later on down the line for and upgrade
October 2, 200817 yr I've had as low as 800rms going to my 18 and it was still impressive. I suggest you dont cut any corners on the enclosure, and it wont really matter if you have the smaller amp.
October 2, 200817 yr I don't know if you would audibly notice the difference all that much. So is the price difference worth it? My friend had a Q running off of 600w and I sold him my 1000w amp and there was barely a difference.
October 2, 200817 yr O well if there that close maybe (If you can) run the 2000 i would...its always there to upgrade then Set your gains right!
October 3, 200817 yr Author O well if there that close maybe (If you can) run the 2000 i would...its always there to upgrade then Set your gains right!ok thanks just needed a second opinion b4 I act on it. Yea I'm make sure I have my gains set right
October 5, 200817 yr The chances of you thermally overpowering a Q w/ BP or a Havoc w/ 1500 watts is very small. Now, clipping will definitely do it. Just keep that in mind. You'd be better to have more available "clean" power than barely enough power. Headroom is always a plus.
