Ha. Does that still show up for RIckRolled?

edit: J i m J automatically changes to that... ???

It's because it was changed as a filter and Aaron and Mark don't change it for some reason; I don't know why, I've asked them to :D

That's alot more money involved to support a btl sub properly, don't you agree?

Nope.

They all handle well over rated if done with respect

Completely meaningless

For instance, the SSD has a power rating of 800watts, doesnt seem too impressive right?

Please tell me your joking with this type of logic...

Anything less and the btl would not be as impressive as would something from a lower series of speaker.

Nope.

You need to get off your high horse partner. You obviously dont know what you're talking about

And chopping up what I said to make you look better makes you ignorant, but whatever, you disrespect me and put me on blast like that, you're a fool!

i think i get what 95honda is saying. from my layman's/beginner's perspective, it means that because the btl is the most durable/efficient sub woofer fi makes, regardless of his setup, no matter how bad the woofer will not itself be the weak point. essentially, he could toss it in his back seat and run 75 watts to it and it would produce sound more efficiently than the other fi woofers. Not be better sq per se, because that depends entirely on installation.

I hope you're being sarcastic with that

Honestly, I am just giving unbiased and thought out answers to help the original poster decide on what subs he would be happiest with.

I also post things that may be confusing if you don't fully understand the principals of loudspeakers. If I see missinformation, I am going to pick it apart because it doesn't help anyone. Sorry if you think it is singling you out, but that is just the way it is....

I'm sorry you didn't understand what I was saying. I've been doing this way to long to e-battle over something I know about, so with that in mind I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt in the matter. I will from now on assume you know the facts of which you speak, and will leave it as so. I am not here to argure with people over small issues, I don't know you, you don't know me. I was trying to give examples so he could easier make a solid decision.

I appolagize Anthony for taking your thread off path. Let's get back on track

the car i have is a peugeot 306 convertible, i was going to have a custom made box made for the fi btl, i was going to buy the two 15" and just use the one for now until i get my new car with a massive boot. i know i wouldn't get full power out of the sub because of the size of my boot, but it would only have been for the time being. as for amps i was going to get an hifonics.

By ''boot'' do you mean trunk space? I'm not quite familure with the terms over there.

how much space do you have to work with?

And could we sway you on your choice of amp?

  • Author

what amp do you think would be better? as for boot space it is a bit of an awkward shape to measure. and i have looked on some web sites to try and find the measurements but nothing is coming up. i also tried to upload a picture of the boot but couldn't see how to do it.

Hmmmm, we dont have those cars here so im not shure on the boot, but as for the hifonics, I have a couple friends with em and they're not very reliable, nor do they output the power listed for them. i dont think you want any less than 2000rms going to a btl though

  • Author

thanks earthman, if i can find out the measurements of my trunk space i will put them onto this topic. i have been looking at an fi btl on your ebay but the person selling it won't ship to the uk! thanks again.

Have you tried Bladeice.com? They would be your distributor for intenational orders

  • Author

yes i have contacted Am at blade ice, he said i would get one 15" in my trunk as long as i had a GOOD custom made box done for it. he said as long as the box was made properly and ported and i had the right power it would be fine. thanks again
