Posted October 7, 200816 yr Hey guys price quoting around today....will 200 amp HO alt be sufficient for 2 18" Btls running 2 3000d amps? tnks again everyone for the help...will post pics of everything I recieve Freddy
October 7, 200816 yr Admin Freddy, much of that depends on your current electrical system you have, how hard you are going to be playing the system and how much of the current demands you want to keep up with. I would highly suggest multiple batteries to store the current needs for that much power, not to mention a serious amount of large gage power and ground wire in addition to the big3.
October 8, 200816 yr Author Thnks Denim for replying.... I am def getting the electrical upgraded, and the big 3 is done already....just need to get the alt and re run the wires.... i jam about 2 hours time a day...not all at one time. I have a deepcycle batt under the hood now, from my last build but a stock 90 amp alt, and I do plan on getting a couple batteries for the the rear. just am not sure if 200 amp alt is acceptable or should I go higher? Thank You again Freddy
October 8, 200816 yr 200 should be fine IMO but you may need to add a battery or two or more in the back IMO
October 8, 200816 yr they should be.. you need around 220 amp hours worth of cells to run 2 saz 3000d's
October 10, 200816 yr Admin After reading your response, the alternator should be good with a few large batteries to support.
