Posted October 10, 200816 yr Hey guys, I have Manny from http://www.trexcaraudio.com/ building my box for 2 18" btls..and I was just wondering if this sounds correct, his calculations for the box: 19" high 40" across 37" deep 95 sq ins port is 13" long (tuned @ 32 hz) and is 11.79 cubes thnks, Freddy
October 10, 200816 yr (1)What amps are going to be in use? (2)I think you're about 100 square inches shy of what you'll need for two 18s at 12 cubesyour #s = 16.2 cubes before displacement, minus .7 for your port, minus .26 for each btl 18 so .52 total for subs. So 14.98 after the two not including double baffle or bracing etc.
October 11, 200816 yr Author Im goin to be running either 2 saz 3000d's or 2 pb xa 3000d's.. chit i guess ill call him in the morning... I thought that something didnt sound right....is there somewhere that he can look to get the displacement and cubes and sq in's correct??? thnks, Freddy
October 13, 200816 yr Fi hasnt posted all the T/S parameters for the new BTLs ,but I can tell you the 18'' btl speaker displacement is .26cubic foot each. Its range is from 5cubes- to around 10cubes. keep tuning somewhere around 32hz with 12-16 square inches of port per cubic foot of air space
