Posted October 19, 200816 yr Im trying to decide how to get the most bang for the buck out of 2 twelves and a Hifonics BXi 2008D what im not sure is whether i should go with the q's or bl's im putting them in a jeep cherokee and any help on what ones i should get and ported or not would be awesome thanks.
October 19, 200816 yr Author i want it to be heard/ felt from about 300 feet away but still sound good and acurate so i was thinking of tuning whichever one i get in a box to 33 hertz
October 20, 200816 yr You want to piss people off outside of your car? I don't think we can help you here.Personally, I'd get the BL's and save for a better amplifier.
October 20, 200816 yr Id also go for the BL's....should sound good and can only get better with a larger/cleaner amplifier......
October 20, 200816 yr Author well whats a good amp then to power 2 of them but thats not more expensive then 400
October 20, 200816 yr You're going to be hard pressed to find a 'good' amplifier to put out the power you want for under $400. Could you go with 1 15" BL and put the rest of the money to a SAZ1500D?
October 20, 200816 yr aright thank youDude, you don't need to compensate for anything. Your music is just that, YOUR music! Don't force other people to listen to your music.
October 20, 200816 yr Author pretty sure i ain't tryin to compensate for chit i jus want to have a bad ass system that hits hard as chit i was using that 300 feet jokingly i jus want it to be able to rattle my jeep
October 20, 200816 yr pretty sure i ain't tryin to compensate for chit i jus want to have a bad ass system that hits hard as chit i was using that 300 feet jokingly i jus want it to be able to rattle my jeepOkay, that's better! You are looking for output, so the BL's will do you nicely, get D1 ohm coils and wire each sub to .5 ohms for a 1 ohm total load to get 2000 watts from your amp.
October 20, 200816 yr If you go with any of the previously mentioned ideas, you'll have what you are looking for. Build the box to spec, don't skimp here.

October 20, 200816 yr Author ok i was thinking of stepping it up a bit though and going with the 15 bls and then a hifonics 2608D amp and then getting this box http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_7510_S...ox-+2SV15.html# would that all work good?
October 20, 200816 yr Nope, what would be cutting corners with the enclosure. Build your own or have someone build one made for your woofers, check out Pound That Sound and Fisher Customs, both make phenomenal enclosures. Or you can take it on, there are tons of guys that will gladly help you out.
