sometimes i'm glad i drive a slow car. it keeps me from speeding because i know i would if i had a faster car.

Only illegal if you're seen with it in use. Lots of ways out of it in BC.

You wouldn't be able to hold the speed limit on the road I'm talking about. Limit is 90 km/h, most idiots do 110-130 km/h ... I hold a conservative 90-100 km/h ... seem to get good mileage around there on the highway, any faster and it just sucks it back. But, of course ... I'll be the one getting drilled for doing 5 over.

You better be retarded to whip around doing 130 k/h in BC..

90-100 is definatly a better bet.

I know a guy who drives 80+MPH on the freeway

The speed limit is 60MPH

I gotta get a radar detector.

Don't exactly want to drop money on that chit right now.  Cheaper than a ticket, though.

I recommend Beltronics Vector Series. They based out of West Chester, Ohio...great company. If you can find the 995 for a decent price....get it. I can get it for around $150 from CC ;)

didnt know they still had 60mph freeways. i only see 65mph ones round these parts. everyone speeds around here.

same here, 65 is the limit, but 75+ is common

60...65

same chit different pile

statistics showed a notable increase in car accidents on the same highways when the speed limit was raised from 60 to 65.

of course there could be other confounding variables...

16 guests on the board and 3 members...pathetic !

shut your mouth...

i freakin hate statistics

The probable reason for that is because morons continue to go the speed limit even in adverse conditions.

I've always been a proponent of different speed limits for different conditions ...

i.e.

Highway ...

120 km/h (75 mph) in dry weather

80 km/h (50 mph) in wet weather

40 km/h (25 mph) in snowy/icy weather

Rural ...

75 km/h (45 mph) in dry weather

50 km/h (30 mph) in wet weather

25 km/h (15 mph) in snowy/icy weather

City ...

60 km/h (35 mph) in dry weather

40 km/h (25 mph) in wet weather

20 km/h (15 mph) in snowy/icy weather

I think its illegal to drive the speed limit in poor weather conditions in california

Would you actually get pulled over for doing the speed limit there, though ? I know you won't here, which is exactly why people continue to go the speed limit.

People don't worry about crashing; they worry about getting tickets.

I vote we try to make it the most disgusting thread ever ...  Yes, even more disgusting than lemans's enclosures ...

Thats gonna me a tough one
