It is a cute little thing...going to be the amp for my TV/living room system.

It's actually close to double the power of my 2A3 stereo rig which is about twice the physical size and weighs three times as much

But that's the difference between pentodes and true directly-heated triodes.

Thats good to hear. I have yet to listen to these but I needed some shallow mount 8's and these seemed to fit the bill nicely, for a decent price too. btw, what kind of enclosure did u have em in?

I really like the way they look, really solid build and they look gorgeous IMO.

Solos are beautiful BTW. I had mine in a .88 sealed enclosure for the pair. Yes, that's .44 each. They sat in a custom center console in my 87 S-10 Blazer. I moved them to the back one night to see how they'd sound in the rear and that was the last I ever heard them and the first time I had to replace my rear window. Thieves are so stupid. . . They never notice when you leave your doors unlocked.

2 jets (F-14's i would guess) just flew over my house at a low altitude, that chit is loud..

i got scared cuz i thought something was going on but i just figured out why lol. they're going to the angel game most likely.

That's tempting, but the funds are limited right now. I'm trying to find a pair of 12s for around that price for the beater. Looking at Ebay for some new Comps. Shipping prices are nuts though.
