I dont think i'll ever own a MTX product.

They just dont have anything thats all that great.

The amps are a ripoff, the speakers sound like pooh, never liked the subs.

I'm probably gonna save the ribbons for bookshelf speakers, maybe use em with my extremis. I'm contemplating picking up the new car audio version of the dayton RS mids, gotta love the price.

They are supposed to be up for sale any moment. Are you going to notch out the gain at 5k'ish? I am thinking about those for my truck as well and go back and forth on what to pair them with.

Do you know how high they can be crossed? I thought they couldn't be crossed that high, which deters me from buying them. Im thinking about the 7", so I can just plop em in in place of my extremis. We shall see.

I have no experience with them at all, but am led to believe that just under 2k without a notch is just fine. I haven't spoken or heard of anyone running a filter on a pair, but being the breakup is at 5k ish you should be able to go higher if you knock down the peak a bit. Or design some seriously crazy sloped crossover.

Their amps are pverachievers. They are pricey, but you get what you pay for. I have loved every one I've had. Hell, I've loved every piece of MTX equipment I've ever had. Haven't messed with a lot of their newer drivers, but what I've had in the past has been awesome. The most recent sub I had was a 12" 6000 series driver and it performed very well for the $100 price tag. Their older crossovers are really good too. They can thank Coustic for that. They have pioneered, no pun intended, a lot of the features we see in drivers today.

Crazy brits, tryin' to destroy a ol' TOyoTer and didn't even get one with the 22R which is indestructible.

I almost didn't watch the end stunt cause I thought they were done, that would have been a shame.

Yea that last stunt was awesome. It was funny when he said "this is one of the odd cases where the bodywork is holding the chassis together." (or something to that effect).

I do believe in the freedom of speech.

However, I don't believe in the freedom of stupidity. That should be a punishable offense.

That is my deep thought of the day.
