Kent, I have one in the garage, but it needs a rebuild as 3rg gear is gone.  At least that's what the guy told me who I bought it from.  I'll get ahold of the old man tonight and see if he has anything lying around, but I doubt it.  Your best bet is probably going to be a rebuild.  It will probably be cheaper in the longrun, and you might as well do it right the first time.

lol...3rd is outa his as well...and it's supposed to be a "built" tranny. it's a close ratio beyotch...adn it's under warranty as it's brand new...but he's wanting something stronger.

The SL-1200 is the one used by most DJ's & clubs...the one drawback to it is the tonearm isn't quite as good as a Rega, for example, but I've heard the Technics has a better soundstage and better-defined bass, so we'll see.

I'll wait until Guitar Center runs a clearance sale or something, and check it out in person. Would rather buy it authorized & local anyway.

guitar center is the best store to spend an afternoon in.
