can you put the amps on the sides Corey?

In that picture, the box is as far to the right it can go, and the amp is snug next to it. Thats as far back as the amp can go, however, if I put an amp over top of that it can go further back, which is what I had planned to do.

I mean the sides of the trunk.

Need an idea for an amp rack. My idea isnt goign to work unless the amps are sticking out. The amp laying on the floor on teh side is as far back as an amp sitting that low can go.

Keep them on that side, but stacked at a slant. I would draw you a picture, but I suck at it.

I picture what you're talking about...would look sweet.

Corey, what ryan said or put one on each side of the trunk so they make sort of a wide V shape.

Thats exactly what my original Idea was. Im not exactly sure it would work which is why I was asking other suggestions. I was thinking, push the 2500D further back so it lines up to where the 8004 is sticking out. I couldnt get my mom to hold the amps at a slant, so I couldnt get a picture. The other reason I changed my idea is cuz that 8004 sticks out kinda far. Im gonna try it again tomorrow, just want to be 100% sure before I commit.

Actually after readaing again, then reading elias's post, I think you said something different than my idea.

They are kind of long but ill try to see if that will work tomorrow.

d00d, stop gettin 0n her case, u kno...y errbody gotta be lik ****?

Her command of English, like most girls her age, is atrocious.

I have sucessfully wasted close to two hours...yay

It'd help if I knew whether or not we're getting a study guide for this final, dammit. It's on Friday and he said he'd post something.

I hate reading without knowing what I need to know or not.

Some dude on Raleigh/Durham Craigslist is selling two Technics SL-1200's with Shure carts/stylii and flight-rated hard cases for $900. May not be a bad deal when you figure in the cases, but I don't need those :( Nor do I need the other table...

It just happens ... Kent can help me with that one.

One minute you're cruising along, the next minute you look down and can't believe it.  I had some idea because I heard it, but other than that ... oopsie.

amen. i can't keep it below 75 most of the time..lol...

when your riding, you tone everything out. the wind, the road, the cars..your cruising. because you and the bike move together, you just slip into a natural state of comfortable. on my scoot, that's right around 75-80mph for cruising. everything flows. next thing you know, your there...lol..and wishing you'd slow down so it would take longer.

and you catch those straights....you can't do 55, but sure enough, there's three cars who can. you grab a gear, roll the twisty thing, and next thing you know...100+mph. and it takes a bit to slow down too...it's too much fun!

i regularly get 120 on the scoot, she good for a few more, but that's all the speedo reads. when i had my katana (smooth bores, vaneand hines, extra tooth, ported and polished) the best i got was 155mph. by speedo. probably closer to 135 actual.

anything over 100 usually guarantees the morgue. so you don't sweat it. your not going to feel it anyway. not for long anyway.

I remember in the making-of extras for Easy Rider, Fonda and Hopper were bitching about having to ride the choppers at really slow speeds (under 40mph) in order to get the scenic backgrounds in from the camera car. Makes sense it would be easier to ride at higher speeds than to keep something like that steady without inertia helping you along.

speaking of excessive speed, our salesman at the shop owns a modded 240sx. he challenged me to a drag race. loser pays for lunch.

his 240, my scoot.

i'm honest. tell him it's bored, cammed, jetted and pretty much gonna slap him silly.

oh, his 240 is strong, 200rwhp.

ok.

we line em up. i'm fair. i tell him to count it down. he counts down from 3. i actually wait for him to launch, then i hammer his ass to the road. by second gear, 4 car lengths. easy. i rode on a bit jsut for good measure.

lunch was gooooooood!!
