Even still if the area is the same shouldn't they be the same length?

Yes sir, given the same area. Length should be the same. I'll run your numbers and see what I come up with :)

Well sir doing it by hand, I get a length of 40.4". I'm working on the re tuning now to see what I come up with as the tuning frequency. :)

I did find this:

The last type of vent is called a slot port. It is created using one wall of the enclosure as a wall of the vent. This can be very useful for bandpass enclosures which can be very hard to tune to a low enough frequency due to the small size of the front (vented) chamber. Friction created by the air flow in the enclosure traveling along the enclosure wall makes this type of port effectively longer than it physically is - which tunes the enclosure to a lower frequency so a slot port will be shorter for the equivalent vent area when compared to a simpler square vent.

which explains the differences but doesn't say how/why to calculate them differently.

I am glad that we at least get the same numbers...thank you for the help.

Know what really pisses me off ...

I've been going to the gym for the past 11 years.

I have learned to control my weight well - I can cut and lose 15 lbs in two weeks, or bulk and gain 15 lbs in two weeks. So on and so forth.

I've been on a slow bulk for two weeks now, up about 8 lbs. From 10:00PM to 2:00AM last night, and early this morning ... I lost 7 of those gained pounds puking my guys out because Subway upset my stomach last night.

One step forward, seven steps back. I love wasting time.

puking 7 pounds. ouch.

on another note

nice to see Justin around. :)

Learned your lesson about eating subway i hope....

Steve, tell me how you gain 15 lbs in 2 weeks. I need that in my life.

Eat :)

Seriously, eat. And eat lots. Cardio is the enemy for those two weeks.

Bottom line ... if you don't take in more calories than you spend, you're not going to gain jack shit. 15lbs in two weeks might be a stretch for someone who has never done it before, but it's possible.

Your grocery bill will be higher ... and I'd recommend a weight gainer protein powder shake mix. Six plus means a day, healthy meals that is. Lots of protein, lots of meat.

I'll put up a sample of my diet when I get home. :)

Of course the bottom one will be leaning forward too, and they both will be a lil higher. Attatched to the side of the box, and I will have "pegs" underneath.

All will be covered in vinyl. The "rack" fits better than I thought, I made it fit just the mounting screws.

Cool. Thanks. Id like to see that sample too. Right now I eat a lot of ham sammiches, and pasta. I eat 2 or so rib eyes a day and for dinner its whatever is cooked, usually chicken or pork chops. I take N-large for 1 shake a day and for the rest I use Whey Protein. I eat a lot of ramen too.
