those do look much better than T-nuts

T-nuts can be a huge pain in the ass

They friggin' work too, super easy to put in. Drill a 7/32 hole and screw it in with a screwtwist allen head. In 3/4"+ MDF too the alignment isn't all that critical so you can slant them off for those friggin' drivers that don't quite have enough lip to really feel great about the physical connection (ahem, only complaint I have so far about the Rli8) and you can tighten them down good. They are meant for particle board :)

badass, going to have to look into those for my next enclosure

Never had tried them before, but since I own a company (that currently does nothing :) ) a while back I opened a Grainger account and was looking through the catalog and read something like "stops annoying shattering of particle board" and bought a bag. That's why I gave you the McMaster Carr part number though as you can't just go in and buy from Grainger, unless you make up a company and do a one time buy.

That is right on bro!!!

I think I paid $7 or 8 for 100 too, you can build lots of enclosures :)

Just need some bulk 8-32 screws of the right length.  They make them in 1/4-20 that I'd use for large lip sub.

if you still have some in a few months (and if i remember), i may be asking to buy a dozen

Building my damn box, the new plunge router I have broke both my circle jigs. Luckily I had made all but 1 round cut. Free hand ftw! Turned out better than any jigsaw hole I had cut though. I really did not like the Jasper jigs anyway, flimsy and real inaccurate. Think I am going to go get the craftsman, the holes Zaph cut with it our unbelievably perfect. That and infinitably adjustable for flush mounting large flanges and such would be sweet.

Just got back from graduation. Reminded me how much I hate congregations of stupid people.

And people need to learn how to speak pucking English.

Agreed, it is even getting strange up here. There are a lot of restaurants where it is easier for me to order in Spanish. Oh, did I point out I don't speak any Spanish--other than I can sort of read a menu from travelling in South America for a few weeks.

M5 were you quoting Ghost Busters back there

no cross streaming?

My roomie found out........more cash=more english hookers speak in Mexico.

I like the harmon/kardon's in my toshiba...........btw when burning cd's from mp3's...........how do i increase the volume?? all volume controls on the laptop including the outside one is maxed out and yet when i go to play the cd back in my HU i have to turn it way the hell up to get it to sound ever remotly acceptable volume wise.........also steve i am on my way to go check on the UA.............status report in about an hour.

J

Use a program that will normalize the volume (make peak volume 0 dB on each song) such as Nero ...

Rip with Foobar or Exact Audio Copy or don't rip!

He never said anything about ripping ... He wanted to know of a program that would increase the volume of the MP3s he already has when he burns a CD, which Nero does ...

+1 for Jmac

like i said.......hate boit torrent........any straight up downloads??
