I feel ya , I was gonna build custom passives for my front stage. Fook that chit. The crossovers with the rolloff I wanted would be triple the price of the drivers themselves

No, but they are CE filters to allow an 8" RS225 to mate with an RS28A. As a general rule of thumb x-over price should be about equal to driver price for quality, but with a CE it goes up a little.
