I finished my whole install without posting once. There is enough information floating around that there shouldn't be half the dumb questions that there are.

I've been trolling 3 different forums for a couple months now learning how to fiberglass. I've only posted once, but for the most part, ALL of the information is there. I seriously think there should be a "meeting" to discuss a little lengthier new member process. Even appoint a small committee to take care of new member activation and registration.

I think the HOP needs to update the spam rules.

I wrote some rules, everyone on the mod team approved them, but all of a sudden there was one person who didn't want to force them to be followed. It is sort of like feeding your dog table food too, once it starts it snowballs. Longterm without action it will ruin the forum.

I did the same thing. I searched threads and other forums and found the info I needed before I posted anything. I think it was either my first or second post was my build log and that was after close to a year of being a member here. This is a great community to be a part of, but only when it is used correctly.

this is correct, the lightning temporarily heats the air around it hotter than the surface of the sun which causes the shock wave.
