freakin psycho kid

he must have been bored

Nick, i have a 4ch and a H/U ;)

both start with B

heheheheh

if only i had something to trade for your uber :(

Nick you there?

Nick can you elaborate on the Orion and Higher voltage for me,  IHoP may be better so not to jack this thread

The signal input stage, does not like more then 5-5.5 volts.

I can explain it... i ran across it twice in my truck... but lemme find a recent link for yah too.

I may be introuble then, or I will have to reset my gains on other amp so that the 8v is running more at 4v or 5v.

Could you explain to me the signs of what happen so that I dont over drive the amp with the signal?

oooh good point.

easy on the volume for sure.

I can tell you that:

1200D

2500D

8002

In my truck (always a good 14.2v+ supply) with the 860mp (6.5v outputs)... all three of those amps have the sensitivity at nill. I'll run upto volume 35/40 for a burp (with all rcas unplugged except the sub amp)... but only 32/40 for music. Even that level is rare.

Currently I am running

75/80 with the memphis at no gain(all the way down) the SPL@ 1/4 and when the HCCA is hooked up at zero also.

I have a feeling that the 600D will either A) be the same or B) not like it and make me have to re set the level and gains.

signs? distorion - no matter the volume / clicking (as mentioned at TP) / signal fading / "delayed" output (seems like the music is a beat behind.

Again, because the rca line voltage wont be at 8v all the time... you should be alright. You're no n00b; but set the gain accordingly, leave a lil headroom if you can.

The orion's (of today) are 'efficient' amps as it were. They do not need very much input to broach full power.

I think that I leave the volume the same and just turn the sub level down accordingly to about half of what I have it at now. Currently at 16/16 so 5 or 6 to set it with a max of 8, that should be OK.

yea, you'll prolly be fine.

i ran both 2500's on the sx's for music for a short time... pushed them pretty loud and really had no problems.

hell, i clipped the chit out of the deck (40/40) when i had a 1200 on a DD.. thats when it was noticalbe a few times, but barely.

:D
