that guys a tard, batteries are made of 6 2.1 volt cells, thus 12.6 volts, and that's just the way they are

different brand auto makers set their alternators to produce different volts, yes some people get 14.4V or so but a lot of GM cars run closer to 13.6-13.9 (i think)

yep, but its worth trying what he has suggested. true that no two vehicles are going to have same voltage levels as another. too many conditions to factor in, which is why I refrain from giving electrical system advice. plus, its not really my forte anyway. thanks for the trivia Acidburn.

ya, there's nothing wrong with trying out a dedicated ground but im just saying that this guy is completely wrong with his voltage levels
