SST 50's are half the price though.... so that might be a better option.

Only 1000 lumins less.

I know. I would love to have a few of those on the truck.

Use a couple floody reflectors/lenses and then a couple pencil beams.

FTMFW.

I thought you were using them in the house.

LOL

Only if I put in that operating table!

:D

They would brighten up your rooms very well.

I bet they would make some wicked flood lights for the yard.

I got a little 200 lumen flashlight runs on AA's and that thing will light up most of my basement with a ceiling bounce.

much brighter with better throw than the 8(or maybe 4....) C cell monster with a reflector that's easily 3 or more times as wide.

I need new headlights for the truck. They are horrible and I think I got a crack in one now.

Boo.

Are you looking at replacing your headlights with those leds Matt?

No I meant more the housing itself. The lens is all milky ETC.

Get one of those kits to clean them up. I did my truck and it looks nice.

I would think those LED's would just blind people unless there was a complex reflector involved that diffused the direct light from the LED.

Actually I use a slightly yellowish tinted buld for my headlights in fact. I like warmed colors for my eyes. I would only deal with the cooler LED light for driving in an offroad application on more rare occasions.

How about keeping the stock headunit?

thats a possibility..

You could build a light bar with those leds and blind the people who bline you. You now those annoying cars with blue and purple headlight kits.

That would allow you to put the headunit dough into a processor. Might be safer since he can't dink with it then. :)

very true! one of my goals is to make it as idiot proof as possible.. pretty sure low voltage took out his last amp, although it was just a shitty kenwood.

We are on the same page my friend. If the reflectors are small enough(or conversely large enough) I could maybe mount then behind the grill too, and that would eliminate any thought of theft, and take less attention off muh truck.

On that note, I didn't unload the sled this weekend as the 19" rack I thought I had lined up was way to fugly. Damnit, I need one. Perhaps I need to up the $ amount I am willing to spend. I'd love one with all 4 sides, but it isn't a requirement. No front would be the first one I'd give up, seems that they all don't get sides. :(

I hope when you do that you take some pictures for us. :D

5 mins of searching...not very familiar with inline processors but im pretty sure the ms-8 is out of the budget...

found these mentioned somewhere

jbl gtx47 4way crossover -$70

jbl gte422 -11 band stereo or 22 band mono eq - $65

looks old school haha. but crossover is listed as new.

no TA :(

if anyone can get data on the costs of occupational injuries in the US (preferably both direct and indirect) that isn't 20 years old I'd be mighty grateful

Those are used.

haha but he would never notice an old crossover stashed in the trunk. but honestly i dont know what to look for here..
