I have not eaten fast food since In and Out Burger in San Diego, circa 2001, and I went there on purpose. Side note, I have picked up a DD coffee in a rush, but that is about it.

When in AZ the top places to grab food when out and about for me and the Mrs. are below

In and Out Burger

Olive Garden

Texas Roadhouse.

Not anything healthy but oh so fucking good. Well I guess texas has an ability to be semi healthy. Depending on what you order.

Ouch. I feel sorry for you. 3 places I will definitely not eat.

well man what is it!?

give a guy a referance point!

I have one pan with about 3/4 cup plain old flour, another pan I beat one egg with one cup of buttermilk, and the third pan I have my seasoned flour:

1/8 teaspoon Mexican oregano

1/8 teaspoon ground sage

1/8 teaspoon dried basil

1/8 teaspoon dried marjoram

1/8 teaspoon black pepper

1/8 teaspoon paprika

1/8 teaspoon onion powder

1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoons salt

1/4 teaspoon ground chile

3/4 teaspoons Accent

3/4 cups flour

I typically marinate it in buttermilk overnight, but I tried brining with sweet tea for an entire day (~36 hours if memory serves) on my latest bird and its quite tasty. Basically a quart of (freshly brewed) tea, 1/2 cup salt, 1 cup sugar, and ice.

When breading, you want a light, but thorough coat with the plain four, a quick dip in the buttermilk/egg mixture, a thorough coating of the seasoned, and then set the chicken pieces on a rack or plate for about a minute before they go in the fryer. Never go straight from the seasoned flour pan into the fryer, as all the breading will just fall right off.

And yes you can omit the Accent, if you so choose

I'm 99% sure Sean doesn't eat at any chain eatery of any kind

I am in a bidding war for a house today. I bid yesterday, but found out this morning that there's another bidder. I think ITS GOING TO BE A LOOOOOOONG DAY!?!?! :rofl2:

GOOOOOOOOD luck.

Home ownership FTMFW even when your basement floods your drain clogs and causes many nightmares that you must worry about yourself.

Definetly no worse than mantaining my "stepping stone house" aka the trailer I own now.

My anxiety is thru the roof at the minute. I should know within 48 hrs. :fryingpan::hyper::duel::wacky::throwrock:

Good luck ! ! !

Both primarily flavor though. Olive Garden is perhaps the worst Italian restaurant I've ever been to. In & Out just makes me want to vomit and the Roadhouse I wouldn't go to if it was half the price. It is almost edible.

I very rarely eat at fast food places. But when I do, it's only at a turk's shop. He makes the best kebabs in town :)

As little as possible. When in the middle of fucking nowhere I have no choice, but will still avoid them if I can. There are a few exceptions, but usually they have a limited number of selections I can pick from. PF Changs for instance - Sea Bass or Szechuan Beef, Famous Dave's - Brisket & occasionally some naked ribs (of course I went there before they were a chain), J Alexanders, and so on.

Do realize I have to eat out about 150-200 nights a year and don't have to pay for it. Makes you sort of picky. Add to that being a somewhat decent cook and it gets worse.

I think Johnny Carino's holds that title

Good, I won't go there then. Never heard of it, but that I might remember.

I wouldn't actually call that fast food. Not by what defines American junk. If everything is cooked inside some uber factory in the middle of bum fuck nowhere, guess what, it is gonna suck. I realize the meat in this case was processed in some big ass plant and may even include roadkill, but it is cooked locally.

Yes I realize then that 5 guys etc are not fast food by my definition and I'd agree with that statement. Not sure how they manage to make it so greasy and nasty though. So many regional bars here have WAY better burgers it isn't funny.
