Speaking of fast, Ferrari's new halo model is supposedly going to have an 800 hp 7.3-liter V12 with a 120 hp KERS system and weigh only 2,500 pounds.

Less than 5 times the power and 6 times the weight. :P

Yes, come on spring!

Fuck no, we finally got our "first" snow of the year last night. We just need about 4x that and I'll be happy. I still want my 3 months of white though. Snow in May, :woot:

Flood in Thailand last year sent hard drive prices into orbit. They're still there last I checked.

And laptop drives are all glass substrate based. Market covered by Asahi, Konica Minolta, and Hoya. And you guessed it, pretty much ALL of their production went underwater. Asahi still isn't producing and I don't think any of the other Thai plants are back up. Add to it the mess in Japan and that only left Hoya's Vietnam plant operating which sort of puts glass substrates in high demand.

And of course, any idea where final assembly for many of these are/were? You got it.

Gah, this board update.

Some annoying ass sound has crept it's way into the right channel(s). Not sure if I didn't notice it earlier, or if it started in the past week.

Only notice it in one driver, on right side. Swapped drivers, still there. Perhaps I can try grounding the rcas?

It's not engine whine, you can hear it with the car off. Doesn't sound exactly like static, more like an incredibly low distorted signal thrown into the mix. Although it rises with volume, it's hard to hear at max volume.

Tried skipping the headunit, and plugging ipod right into ms8, no change.

I have ZERO issues with the board update. I think the issues are user-error.

I hadn't changed any browser settings or updates. Sometimes when I submit a post, it shows it in a second, other times it takes five seconds then shows, other times it just shows the animated loading icon.

Page load is bit slower for me, but that may be fixed with some ff extensions.

I'm not computer ignorant.

I'm going to try chrome.

You just owned yourself.

Sounds like an RCA shorting.

Since I already tried switching input, I'll try switching out the rca outputs.

Chrome Test.

Page load time is better with chrome, and making submitting posts seems to be a tad better.

Opened a new bottle of 140 aged 19 years. I may not make it through the night. trink40.gif

And 100-200 times the price, to boot

And at least 100 times the cost of ownership
