  • Chill- Lemme break it down as simple as I can on some of us here. The IHoP is like a big dysfunctional family. -M5 would be the uncle everyone respects and takes advice from. We may not like how he p

Kid gave me a cold. I've felt like shit all day but have been pushing fluids (at least 3 gal :) ) but of course now that I might lie down my nose is starting to clog up. Motherfucker. Hate this and hate taking medication, but am concerned if I don't I won't sleep. No idea what to take. :(

The Aeron was SUPER uncomfortable.  Horseshit base and way too short in the shoulders.

I'm glad you could confirm that. It gets rave reviews. My new desk is a drafting table. So it will need a tall chair and then I can stand when I don't want to sit.

No lie, the lumbar support in my expy with the EB seats is so good, sometimes when my back was spazaming I would just sit in it... or if I wanted some massage, go for a drive.  So nice.

As you know, amusingly I've been shopping for an ergo desk chair.  Figure it's one of those things I should own considering how much ass time I have.  Not so amusing is that I leave the damn show rooms and get in the ML and it feels better.

Now I really need to go for a ride.

.....is the Lincoln navigator the same as an expedition? I'm finding them on craigslist for better prices than the expeditions and even screw f-150's. It's all the same frame and so same suspension etc etc.

They look good but if they are not as rugged I'll pass.

Much more sound deadening for NVH, full time AWD, the Lincoln has air suspension, and the 99+ Navis got DOHC heads. 5lbs of boost and you're over 500HP.

Huh?

With so little boost it gets so much stank? I wonder how it would look with a lift skid plate and 35" on it...

Is it safe to push that engine with so much power with no internal work done? Tranny and rear end can handle it?

The 4V heads move a LOT of air. Pressurize the cylinders a bit and dump a lot of fuel and you're good. All the components will easily handle that. The only thing I would worry about would be the rods, but tons of people run them at 600 or so with no issues. Just make sure your tune is safe and you'll be fine.

I would disagree. Those rear ends suck balls.

I've seen thousands of them with hundreds of thousands of miles and no issues.

Clogged nose. Sudaphed. And if it's insanely bad Afrin.Costco has both on the mega cheep. You handle stims ok I bet so no problem for you I am sure on the fake amphetamines. Nothing works like the old school ephedra products. If you are really in a pinch eat horse radish or wasabi and boil some water with mustard like aromatics. Put a towel on your head and breath it deep.I used to be so stuffy I had to get up an hour and a half before school just to steam my head. This was before I found stims and afrin.

My problem with the Tundra is that I am comfortable for maybe 10 minutes. Fucking Japanese have no idea how to design a seat. Absolutely terrible. I can almost seeing them laughing and pointing at us: "ha, ha, fuck you whitey. you buy our car for reliability so we fuck you with uncomfortable ass seat."

I love the seats in my Camry.

Your not tall

No I am not, but you stated they have no idea how to design a seat. I think they designed mine quite well. Honestly, why would you expect them to design a seat well for a tall person. I am a giant by comparison, so you are just a freak of nature to them.tongue.png

I'm sure this has already been made, but I figured why not make my own.

Damn military guys not caring about being comfortable. You need to be pampered occasionally.

Call it adaptation. Spend 10+ hr days in a military vehicle fighting sleep from the low toned but loud hum of the engine, and anything is comfortable. Not to mention I can sleep in places and positions that would break most people.

Got back from the camping / hiking trip a day early.

It was very cold and where we camped last year the wind was crazy. First time I was almost knocked over by wind gusts.

All in all a cool trip. We even visited an old castle on the way to the camping site.

Sounds like fun! I envy the cool weather.

Barely above freezing without the wind chill ? Seeing those sights more than makes up for it though :)

Last year we camped next to a lake at 6000 feet and it was pretty bad. Strong winds, heavy rain. This year we camped lower but over at the lake the wind was ridiculously strong.

Ugh yeah even that low I would be happier. It has been 111 Fahrenheit and humid the past few days.

Off to find some copper tubing to install my boost gauge. Overkill biggrin.png

I like!
