I saw that happen when I lived in LA maybe 15-18 years ago. Some dude with AIDS was running from the cops then stopped on the orange crush, set his truck on fire with his dog in it, unfurled some banner and blew his head off. The TV stations had all kinds of lawsuits against them afterwards. It was a mess.

I wonder if I could tell. The water for the kombu *just* started a fine boil today. I mean just. And I could not taste the difference for my miso. I am sure the kombu didnt reach the boiling temp as it was out of the water as soon as can be. But I was just curious. I did read that you shouldnt let the miso boil or it will kill the healthy bacteria I it.
