ed, gotcha...those lil suckers do sound good...memphis's version of a purely sq sub...

but why not get the pr10? less money, more xmax (they get quite loud for what they are), same power handling (rated 250wrms) and almost the same sq....

but i will indeed get ya a price bro..no prob

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :slayer:

That one will work too, I need a sub with a top mounting depth of 5" or less. If you could get me a price on both that would be uber-cool.

Thanks alot! :woot:

ed, the pr10 will run ya about $75 + shipping and it will be authorized (read warranty) and the m10 will probably be in the $100 range, but i will find out for sure monday (i said tuesday, but they are open monday because they are closed today for a car show)..i'll see if i can get them in my pricing (typically about $15 less or more..lol)

nick, the shop just about turns down all new mazda cars for h/u's..we'll run wire and do amps/speakers, but no h/u's..yet...

jim, the cabinets are really looking good. another round of bondo/sanding today and then it's primer and paint!! they are really looking sexy! and yes tom, pics are bieng taken. also, jim, what do u think of a two tone paint job? like a nice brown / black..or maybe white/black? i'll get some pics and see if i can't show ya what i mean..oh, and thanks for the kind words at ca.com man. i really appreciate it!

ryan..SWEET!!! u are my hero!!

didnt even touch the HU, told her flat out that I wont.

The door panels are a ginormous PITA. took about 40 minutes per door to get them on right. The door to body wiring isnt run through a 'grommet' or 'boot'... its hard wired into a hard plastic plug, the recepticle for this plug is also a hard plastic piece in the door jamb. You can't run speaker leads through the door... meaning I had to mod a few things to mount the MB Quart Xovers inside the door (i hate that). Considering that we are keeping the stock HU, ran an loc off the rear speakers.... either something is wired wrong -or- the HU doesnt like the spekaer leads doing anything else. with the loc tapped in, ALL speaker output is cut. the enclosure (glass & mdf) has turned to chit as well. I tried showing my sister how to do all of this (she said that she wanted to do it) and that alone has pretty well ruined this enclosure. I'm going to have to pour a quart of resin inside the box to try to seal it up. then carpet it, there is minimal hope for getting the bondo-glass decent enough for paint - I'd need a half gallon of high build primer.

she's bringing it back over shortly so i can sort out the LOC and drop in the box.

gah.

[/rant]

I understand the frustration....been there, done that. ;)

Just take a break and come back to it, usually you find a solution pretty easily after you clear your head.

nah, got it all done on site yesterday. just finished replacing the Loc and wired up the amp. good to go. she's got my uber for the time being.

nothing is worse to work on then an old benz. we once spent three days troulble shooting and installing a HU, 2 comp sets, three amps, woofer, and interior neon. :faintthud:

no offense Denim ;)

ya, there are those stupid plastic plugs on Miatas as well, freakin bastards

yah... took us about 20 minutes to realize that was what was holding us up. then 10 minutes to figure out how to get her done without tearing up the lil rubber liner. a well, sa'll done.

do u guys have lives or something? where the hell are yall?

jim..first coat of primer on, fixing to take pics...then some sanding with 320...then some spot putty...more primer....more 320......then if no putty needed...sand with 400...then paint!!!!
