i'd like to find some online clips of the family guy and make an avatar...

if i'm using plexi to seal the holes in my door, how thick should it be?

I wonder how long user names hang out in the "User(s) are reading this topic (0 Guests and 0 Anonymous Users)" section.

My alarm clock just beeps like a watch and im up

thats a big hole.

1/4" at least. I'd prolly go 3/8"s.

I have smoked 3/8" plexi

im to cool for school

o.k, time to leave, to many sexual innuendos

So being that the weight of the new mag is going to be greater then the drivers I am use to. What do you guys suggest for bracing or a frame for the box I will be making?

I was thinking of useing .75" dowl rods. Then I though about useing .25-.5" metal rods. What do you guys think?

The last opion will be to make a solid MDF box and glass over it, but that will hinder me on space.

Box will run from the bottom part of the fron dash to equal with the back of the seats. That way I can either run normal or inverted. Should be around 2 cubes.

It will be lined with a poly fill layer, and have a plexi window on each side. It will be covered with a combination of vinal and cloth that matches the interior of the truck. Ny hopes are to include the "console compartment" and the cup holders.

Last thing, I will be making a brace to support the magnet/weight of the sub internally. Any ideas on what to use? I was thinking of MDF and a little foam to cusion the magnet from damage.

Use a 1" wide mounting ring and .75" dowels.

I definately suggest a motor brace for heavier woofers in top or side mounted fiberglass.
