Just read Nick's post...wow, just wow :)

But he had it coming.

as i wait for someone to pm me back (on another board)...

arrrghh.

How much is Baltic Birch usually for a 4x8 sheet...while I could always drive down to Lowe's when I get dinner in a few, I'm lazy right now :)

That's what I was afraid of...I know furniture grade 3/4" ply is $45 a sheet, last time I checked.

I'll need to buy four 4x8 sheets. Suck.

$25 CAD / 3/4" sheet here for baltic birch ply. So I can't complain in that department.

Buy some D-Grade ply and build a nice cabinet out of that ;)

Why don't I just steal some OSB and build it out of that?

Those would look really good in the living room...especially with $150 drivers in them :D

time for teh fud.

looks like we're going to get some t-storms soon.

I know, just pointing out you arizona folk and you foreign terms...

Time to go play with my auras!!!!! YAY!

That's what I hear...

although, my next project is going to be nekkid wood.

:lol2:

truck bed coating covers MDF really well

Not Rhino Lining. If you ever have that done on wood, make sure those bastards sand it with a ROUGH sand paper and clean it well. I just spent 2 hours peeling it off a box truck a couple weeks ago.

well, those cabs are going to make a kickass pair of monitors...now i just need an amp :(

i'm almost tempted to build a small class A MOSFET deal to go with them...i've always wanted to hear transistors in class A, see how good they can really sound. a simple single-ended circuit should be pretty easy to build, just need a schematic for one.

it was just the spray can stuff from Walmart

partsexpress sells small amp kits, dunno if thats what you're looking for though

not single ended class A's...only commercial one I know of is the Nelson Pass Labs Zen...and there were only 200 or so built.

It's a shame too, because I'm sure MOSFETs would sound great in Class A, but there aren't too many of them out there to do ABX testing with.
