$100 - medical ($40) = $60.

Union decided to deduct medical now.

We'll see how long and how well I can live on $60 a week. Heh, oh yeah, union is going to start paying next week - these first few weeks of picketing were done for nothing (you have to picket X number of times before you get paid).

Lesson to the young - get in a good union, and if your union rep is a dick ... go up to him and say "Knock knock", he'll go 'Who's there?' ... reply by putting both of your middle fingers up right in his face and say "That's the double whammy, I only bring that out on certain occasions ... so fudge off."

Works well.

Anyway, needless to say ... I hope they settle it soon so I can collect my 8% or whatever they decide to give the first year and then come next August/September, GTFO of here.

My particular union was $hit. Our local was so small and nobody really participated in it. When politics got involved, I got screwed. F U C K EM!

I apologize.

Usually I keep everyone posted, and I have given your project some thought, so I have no excuse for not dropping a note. As you correctly surmised, I have been busy putting in 12 hour days.

All your parts are here and I am ready to proceed as soon as I finish the one in front of you. I will need to breadboard your amp before committing to chassis.

Here is the status:

1. BX7 project: Final wiring today. Will be all completed by this evening.

2. 807 Project: All design work/breadboard done. Awaiting updated power transformer for final test before committing to chassis. Chassis is prepped and waiting.

3. 2A3 SE project (yours): All parts received and awaiting bench time for breadboard.

Should only be a few weeks then. Which is good, because by that time I can afford to buy tubes for the damn thing

But of course...this one will probably glow a little more than the Zen did, triodes with heated cathodes like 2A3's are more inefficient than the small pentodes were. Also because there are simply more tubes in this one, b/c of the preamp stage.
