Hey jack, do gates to neighborhoods wait till they pick up a certain freq and then open? and if so could i buy something that would play a whole bunch of freqs to open the gate?

Usually a specific frequency (which can be found with a simple frequency counter, like an Optoelectronics Scout) and encoded with a simple 555 timer circuit. Used to have a schematic around here for building one, but I'm sure they're floating around online somewhere.

Electricity has been out for the last 4 hours.

I deliver food to houses and theres many a neighborhood with gates that i can't get into with out a lot of hassel, so i was wondering if there was something cheap/easy to obtain to give me access.

a truck with a big ass tube grill would suit you well ;)
