To tell you the truth, I haven't really looked into paypal all that much. One of my good friends here has an account ... he justs pays for stuff online through it though, I don't think he has received money thought it.

What's all required? Credit card and/or bank account?

You dont need a bank account or a credit card.

There are small fees involved ( depending on what type of account you choose), but its instant money.

Its very easy to use, even my mom can do it

You don't need a CC at all. A checking account helps, as you can transfer funds in and out from PP to checking for free...that comes in handy sometimes, and verification takes maybe a business day or two.

Paypal could write you a check, but it costs money.

they verify by dropping a few pennies in it a couple of times...

and the fee's are minimal, unless ur sending huge chunks of money...like 2.9% or something...

and if ur selling something..u can always add the fee's into the asking price..or do like alot of ppl do $xxx+ paypal fees..

So I'd need a Personal or a Premier account then.

I can't even justify a payal account right now ... that's just a ticket for me to spend money I shouldn't be spending. Maybe around Xmas time when I actually need to buy something.

Paypal has been very convenient for me. it's easy to send payment to anyone, i.e. friends, sellers, eghey, etc. my account hasnt charged a fee on any transactions yet, but i've had to pay some people the 3% (which isn't much). i never have any money in my paypal account. when i send money, paypal just pulls it outta my checking account. it's nice.

Think of it as an opportunity to gain money.

amen. i really wish i could just take a year off school and travel the world but time and money are always an issue. maybe i'll study abroad next year but we'll see.
