While driving the burban today i noticed that with speeds over 40mph the rpm's get all funky

Normal throttle ( light), accelerating, tach is at 1krmps and then it does this jumpy thing. It kinda jerks and revs up to 1.5krmp and then back doen to 1krmp. Only on light acceleration and speeds from 40-55 mph

Is it a problem ?

or jsut about anything...fuel problem...timing issue..
