That annoying thread on CA.com got me wondering...

Do people really drop $5k in equipment and not have the slightest idea what they're buying or the alternatives? Do people really not give a chit about where their income goes?

Oh well, I guess they really don't give a damn. I just wish they'd give me half of that, I could blow their systems away for a fraction of the price If I had 5 grand to spend on a setup...holy hell, I wouldn't buy another piece of stereo equipment for years.

If I had $5,000 to spare, I probably wouldn't put it towards audio equipment and especially not towards car audio equipment ...

I don't think I'd spend it on car audio gear, but home stuff...
