Well, lastnight was messed up.

Got a call in the afternoon to go over and babysit my girl's daughter. Her sister went into labor yesterday at 7AM, and just had the baby a couple hours ago.

I love it when you have a ton of stuff to do and $hit just comes up.

And is it me or are about 99% of babies ugly when they're first born?

it is the one that had the bent basket lip? maybe the surround is deforming too much? maybe you've just beat them up too long? spiders do eventually grow more and more limp. i've found that even on the 99s & MT's they go soft after enough full tilt burps in a BP. lol

seriously tho, I dunno. Other then the spiders breaking down (they are DD afterall), the cone flexing too much, and install issues..

Well, I've decided to do a budget system in the beater. All equipment, wiring, and materials have to be less than $1K total. Did I mention it will be all active as well. This should be fun.

Got my first piece in yesterday. A used Eclipse 5303. Old Pre-amp deck from 97, but it's clean! 5V RCAs, and the 55ohm impedance is sweet. All for the low low price of $1. Gotta love it. I have to find a trim ring for it, and hope Eclipse has some way of converting an aux input for me. We shall see.

The surround isnt showing signs of distress. I only had them wanging for about a week or so. I think it might be the spider....

Ive always wanted that car and this might be the opportunity of a lifetime since just about every single one is from the east coast.

Nope, my buddy gave it to me. He's giving me another one too, but an older model. IT's like brand new. Also gave me a Prestige APS995C. I need to buy new transmitters for it, but it's mint.
