  • Chill- Lemme break it down as simple as I can on some of us here. The IHoP is like a big dysfunctional family. -M5 would be the uncle everyone respects and takes advice from. We may not like how he p

I have a buddy who works at a machine shop, so I thought I'd get a deal.  He he.  yeah right.

steel, from china ;)

You might be on to something. I assume a 17" square blcok of steel would be pretty expensive too. I was hoping to get both baskets done for around $700.

Why do you think the LAMARE used a steel basket. It was cheap !

I need a new PS2 game to play. . . . .  I've beaten GTA:SA about 50 times over.  It's boring now.

Get the new need for speed if you havent. Its pretty fun.

They have a cheat where you can go 1000mph.

Dennis, is the truck done yet?  I need some updates.

I tried to tune this weekend using WinMLS, but I have no clue how to calibrate my soundcard. Trying to get more info on DIYMA, but no one is helping. This really sucks cuz this was the first free weekend I've had in a while to work on it, and none of those experienced people are helping. Hopefully I come across more free time to try it again. When it's tuned then I can go ahead and clean up the wires and take the saran wrap off.

I did get rid of the ribbons for now and am running vifa tweets on the dash. Ribbons sounded better IMO, but the stage height wasn't as high and people kept kicking them.

My thread will be updated after I actually get stuff done. Thanks for remembering though :P

I used the aura's you sent me and made computer speakers for my brother :)

Let me know when you get it working dennis.

Hopefully i have the accord done by middle febuary

I told my bro im porting the entasi, he was like...dood, its gonna be to loud.

Ya, especially with 1100W on it...muahahaha!

I told you that was a good buy. How is it handling the low power?

Dennis, I loved my ribbons too, but for a vehicular application, IMO, they are not worth the hassle or the price. I am pretty sure I can get similar if not better performance out of a standard tweet and have half the headaches.

Dont have the amplificator yet.

my bro almost sold the sony so i didnt use it

As for the tuning, use your ear man. I tried the old RTA thing a couple times, and I've never found it to be useful to me atall. Granted, I don't compete, but I wouldn't even want to in SQ. I don't exactly take too well someone telling me that what I think sounds good, is not. Know what I'm saying. . .

You dont like anyone telling you what to do...heh

WHo really does? YOu spend a bunch of time doing your system the way you want it and tuning it to your liking only to have some judge say otherwise. Screw that.
