Need fast help finding a product.

IIRC there used to be a product you could use to "adapt" top-post batteries to side-post cars.  It would clamp onto the post on top, and had a short neck that would hang over the side of the battery (to the typical side-post position) and then had a hole on the bottom portion of the neck to screw in the side posts to.

Anybody have any idea WTF I'm talking about, or where I can find one?

Well I think that I am taking "top post" wrong, but West Marine carries converters to change a normal car battery into a boat battery which fits the description you asked for if by topmount you mean normal battery terminal and are trying to convert to screw on amp terminals. This is about the cheapest route I have seen and almost everywhere (even landlocked MN has a West Marine).

So how is this for extreme. Yesterday I was up on Red Lake in Northern MN where the thermometer registered a comfortable -24 deg F, today I am in Santa Ana, CA where it was 82 deg F. 106 degrees of difference in 24 hours.

there's a chance i may be inheriting something that looks a whole lot like this:

mine doesnt have that much rust though

Sweet. Now you just need a big IB install and a Rat motor.

I doubt I would ever go to a big block.

Even though it just has the chitty inline 6, I don't think I'd swap the motor for a while.

I'd rather upgrade the suspension and brakes first

Hey, I love I-6's!!

How about a S/C 283?? You could make that car rip with one of those, but if you have the 6 to begin with you will need brakes and they all need suspension. Luckily both can be done fairly cheap.

do you know how big the I6 engine in a 67 is? i think it might be a 230 but im not really sure

i'd imagine that since they have a huuuuge aftermarket, stuff cant be that expensive

also, anyone know of a first-gen Camaro forum?

140hp @ 4400 rpm

220ft lbs @ 1600 rpm

interesting

Why is it interesting ?

because your hp is ~1/10 of the rpm that your torque reaches 1/20 of your peak hp RPM?

Ha! Oh boy, are you in for a surprise.

x2 good luck on the cheap parts. You might as well spend the cash and go to year one.
