  • Chill- Lemme break it down as simple as I can on some of us here. The IHoP is like a big dysfunctional family. -M5 would be the uncle everyone respects and takes advice from. We may not like how he p

I love the heat. Cold is the enemy.

On another note.  66 degrees today.  Tomorrow, high of 32 with snow.

High of 80 today. I actually ran the A/C a little in the apartment, felt very strange...

Forecasted not to break 55 tomorrow.

It's a necessary thing though.  Can't exactly open a shop without being certified myself.

What cert do you need? Advanced or Master?

Getting a job here would get me off my ass and force me to retake the Basic install one again, I used to have it but let it expire.

Going to get all I can. I currently have zero training or certification. Just years of hobbyist.

The Basic question pool is insanely easy...a knowledge of Ohm's Law and what end of the soldering iron not to touch is all you need.

I haven't read the upper level question pools in a while so I'm not sure what they contain, but I'm sure it's not too bad...certainly can't be worse than the Amateur Extra FCC exam that kicked my ass...how the hell am I supposed to plot in polar coordinates using imaginary numbers the reactance of blah blah capacitor at blah blah megahertz assuming blah blah inductance...make me think, why don't you. :)

Passed the 20WPM Morse code exam, but that written test was a royal PITA.

If you do end up going to Houston you can meet Brad, Matt, and David...Very cool guys.

I don't think I'll have ANY problems handling the exams.  Just WANT to be certified and have THE BEST credentials before going into business.

Credentials are good, but it is frustrating since it isn't too hard to know more than your instructor quickly. Fabrication on the other hand is most def. an art form.

Team Pwnage.

They were more active on Chitaudio.com.

I need the truck box and for some reason Chevy's are way overpriced here. Avg listed price for a 96 Ford $5k, 97 Dodge $5k, 96 Chevy $8k; however, it seems to switch around as close as Nebraska where Fords are the most expensive...

Weird.

If you can save a couple hundred/thousand $$ by driving a bit further then its worth it.

did you ever find a temp one? how long has it been since the eclipse went out?

I swore to myself I wouldn't eat at the school cafeteria again, b/c every time I get a stomach ache. Well, I ate there this morning. Had to miss 2 of my classes because I got sick. Barfed 5 times so far today, once in the school parking lot, once on the ride home (which is pretty talented that I didn't crash b/c it was on the freeway), and the rest in the home toilet. Cafeterias suck balls.
