Just think, it's lunchtime over here and I've done squat so far.

Just read a really good review of the Technics SL-1200 MK2...seriously considering it.

It's a thirty year old design that hasn't changed a bit since they introduced it, and it's easily the most common deck in use worldwide...guess they were doing something right.

And it's perfectly in my budget, even if I get it locally from a dealer.

A while back I got two of 'em for $125, missing a couple of feet though. I didn't know if they were any good, but couldn't pass up the deal.

Just think, it's lunchtime over here and I've done squat so far.

Almost lunch here and da woman is making breakfast.

I on the other hand have been searching sewing forums trying to figure out what embroidery machine to buy her for the birthday. It is frigging super annoying, but sort of funny as you can imagine the "techy sewers" that are on the forums. They tend to be more board loyal than the car audio sites as well, sort of like the eD lovers. LOL. PM'ing ninnies FTL!

I'll probably just live with CD for now, need to finish the rest of the signal chain before I can worry about adding another source, especially something as much of a hassle as vinyl.

I still have one. It has a Stanton 680 DJ cartridge on it though, and is hiding in my basement since I don't have a phono stage on the Adcom.

Poor vinyl collection. When I move I am going to turn the main living room into a listening room and have a separate home theatre area.

The '680 isn't too bad of a cart for hi-fi, better than the 500's.
