Tri-y's are good for low end torque. I'd get headers but they would cost me $500 to install. Have to tilt the engine over to get them in... so that means unbolting the tranny and motor mounts. :(

Plus long tubes are illegal in AZ unless you have a car over 30 yr. old.

are you sure? i know people who have full-length headers on their Impalas

mine are just a mid-length though

The national law is "If your car is emissions controlled (you take the test every now and then) then it is ILLEGAL to move the location (forward/back/up/down) of the stock 0-2 sensor OR the cats.... I am told though that it's a rare case where the guy that tests your car calls you out on it, thus you get away :)
