Tri-y's are good for low end torque. I'd get headers but they would cost me $500 to install. Have to tilt the engine over to get them in... so that means unbolting the tranny and motor mounts.

Plus long tubes are illegal in AZ unless you have a car over 30 yr. old.

are you sure? i know people who have full-length headers on their Impalas

The national law is "If your car is emissions controlled (you take the test every now and then) then it is ILLEGAL to move the location (forward/back/up/down) of the stock 0-2 sensor OR the cats.... I am told though that it's a rare case where the guy that tests your car calls you out on it, thus you get away
